Seminars in Japan and Korea to introduce China's technical textiles and nonwovens market

The next edition of Cinte Techtextil China, Asia’s leading trade fairs for technical textiles and nonwovens, will be held from
19 – 21 September 2006 at INTEX in Shanghai. To promote Cinte Techtextil China 2006 and to introduce the opportunities China presents for overseas technical textiles suppliers, two seminars will take place in Japan and Korea in November.

The seminars, held in Seoul on 15 November and in Osaka on
17 November, aim to answer questions surrounding the level of demand for technical textiles and nonwovens products in China.
A panel of industry experts including members of renowned Chinese technical textiles' associations, Cinte Techtextil China's organisers and supporters will present an outlook on China’s markets in three main presentations:

• In his speech titled, 'The current situation and prospect of technical textiles in China', Mr. Zhu Minru, the Chairman of the China Nonwovens and Industrial Textiles Association will give an in-depth analysis of the developments and requirements of the Chinese technical textiles market.

• Another presentation will be conducted by Mr. Sun Qingxiang, the Vice Executive Director of the Experts Committee of China National Waterproof of Building Materials Association. Mr. Sun will introduce the Chinese waterproof felt market and the opportunities offered to foreign suppliers.

• Mr. Feng Shujun, the Vice Executive Chairman of the Sub-Committee of Artificial and Synthetic Leather Industry will focus on artificial and synthetic leather. He will give an in-depth analysis of the developments and market prospects of nonwoven substrates, micro denier and functional synthetic leathers in China.

China's huge and growing market offers considerable opportunities for technical textiles suppliers worldwide. The country's consumption of technical textile is soaring, with an annual average growth of 11% since 1998. In 2004, the country imported almost 500,000 tons of technical textiles. The opportunities are tremendous for importers since this fast increasing demand cannot be covered by domestic production alone.

In 2004, Cinte Techtextil China attracted 300 exhibitors and over 6,500 buyers, a 30% increase compared to the previous event, confirming the fair's position as a paramount business platform for the industry in China. Cinte Techtextil China 2006 is jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA).
